I wonder if Sam and Dean ever have a shared nightmare where they wake up on a jet plane together, and one of the wings was torn off and it’s losing altitude fast and they turn and it was on its way to a clown convention and the clowns are all in full make-up and outfits. And they look at each other in panic just as the clowns start up a sing-along of “Hey, Jude.”

what if one night Jared is in Vancouver, filming, and Thomas won’t sleep. Can’t sleep. And Gen is so tired and so harried, like every new momma, and at her wit’s end she calls Jared. She knows he’s working, and that he’s probably just as tired as she is, if for different reasons. And she tells him Thomas won’t go to sleep.

So Jared looks at Jensen, pleading, and Jensen signals him to take a couple minutes, he’ll cover for him. And Jared sequesters himself in a corner of this set that’s been like home for years and years, and Gen puts him on speakerphone and Jared just talks to Thomas, like “Hey, buddy, what’s the deal with not going to sleep for your mom?” And he babbles on and on just so his son can hear the sound of his voice, and after what seems like forever Gen comes back on and says, “He’s asleep.”

And then Jared talks to her until she falls asleep, too.

And then he goes back to work with a smile on his face and Jensen just gives him a knowing look and a slap on the shoulder.
